A Call to Business

Management and Development of Emmaus Skills Training Centre, Sierra Leone

Are you looking for something which will both challenge you and make a real difference to the lives of many? Do you have construction skills or perhaps plumbing, electrical, even dressmaking or food processing skills and the ability to teach others?

A Call to Business is working with Emmaus Skills Training Centre and we are looking for some skilled people (ideally a couple) to manage and develop the Training Centre. The successful candidates will be prepared to spend up to 12 months in the outskirts of Freetown, Sierra Leone. Sierra Leone currently has over 70 per cent unemployment. The majority of young people have no marketable skills and have never had a job.

Emmaus Skills Training Centre currently provides construction skills training and mentoring for men, teaching students a trade which will enable them to get a livelihood. We would like to develop and expand our operations to include services for women as well as develop small scale industries.

Accommodation and significant remuneration will also be included with this position.
